For Educators
Suitable for settings from Nursery through to Further Education.
- Keynote: Ideal for conferences, trust-wide events, and large audiences, this keynote explores the science behind the impact of technology on children’s development. It examines how digital habits influence attention, regulation, language, and wellbeing, and considers the practical role educators can play in responding to these challenges within school settings.
- Inset / Workshop Options: Designed for schools and colleges, these sessions are ideal for INSET days or weekly CPD. Together, we explore the research and neuroscience behind technology use, alongside practical, realistic strategies schools can use to support pupils and parents in navigating the challenges educators are increasingly facing.
- Delivery options include:
- Half-day INSET
- Two × 1–2 hour workshop sessions
- One-Hour CPD Session
A focused introduction to Rethinking Technology: Reclaiming Childhood, available in person or online, ideal for staff meetings or twilight CPD.
For Parents/Carers
A one-hour tailored and sensitive presentation, designed to reflect the needs and context of your own setting.
This session works particularly well alongside staff CPD where schools wish to support parents in understanding (and buying into) the school’s vision toaddress issues surrounding technology overuse and addiction.
This session is also appropriate for delivering to foster care and social care networks.
If a slightly more informal approach would suit your setting better, I can provide a stand at parents’ evenings or open days.
For Children
Suitable for children aged 5–16 (age range adapted as needed).
- Interactive workshops that help pupils understand the risks of technology overuse, with a particular focus on social media and AI
- Sessions are developmentally appropriate and linked to:
- The National Curriculum
- Online safety requirements
